康豹（Paul Katz），1961年在美國洛杉磯出生，1984年耶魯大學歷史系學士，1990年美國普林斯頓大學東亞系博士。曾經在臺灣中正大學歷史研究所、“中央大學”歷史研究所擔任過副教授和教授。2002年獲聘為“中央研究院”近代史研究所副研究員，2005年獲聘為研究員。研究主要集中在近代中國宗教社會史，以跨學科的方法综合歷史文獻和田野調查，並參酌社會科學的理論。
